1881 Census for Northumberland(5051/36/12) shows him still at work at the
age of 60 as a Collector of Taxes and living at 1 Park Parade , Elswick,
(Newcastle) Along with his wife Marion,and sons William, Thomas, Charles,and
Frederick.

26th June 1852: Mrs Wicks paid in Edinburgh up to 5th April 1852. This would

'The Board ordered that William Elliott, Officer of Aberdeen 8th division,
Aberdeen Collection and George Wicks Officer of Musselburgh 4th Division,

Buried in Lair 5 Plot 166 Keith churchyard. No headstone for this lair (only
lair 1 for George Dow)also in same lair Isabella Mary Wicks ( RIN 418)
The Post Office Guide for Aberdeen 1837/8 shows him to be living in Buxburn
(Edinburgh). The 1841 Census shows:-

OPR for Cannongate 8 Nov 1819 reads:' George Wicks, Officer of Excise Rose
Street Edinb, and Mary McKenzie, No 32 New Street Cannongate, ground Story,
Daughter of the late Kenneth McKenzie, Soldier 71st Regt, gave up their names
for marriage. Certified by Willim McKenzie musical -instrument maker, Rose
Street Edinb, and Daniel McCran, Pensioner there. (Register of Proclamation o f Banns and Marriages)
