| John was a (silk) weaver His will was dated 17 March 1736/7 and proved 8th April 1737 His wife Esther was the sole executor. Mention made of his four surviving children, namely Mary, John Ann and David Abraham and Daniel Hayne (John's maternal uncles) were witnesses to the will. |

David established a silk-weaving business in Duke Street, in the Old Artillery Ground in the Liberty of the Tower of London and died there in 1775. Will proved 15 Jan 1776 (P.C.C.) A mourning ring to my cousin Mary Robinson and 5 pounds to my servant.500 pounds in trust for grand-daughter Elizabeth Vandome, the daughter of Elizabeth Susan Vandome (the testator's daughter). Hopes my son David and daughter Mary will jointly carry on my business. Testator's clothing etc to his son, and his late wife's clothing to his daughter. Executors and residuary legatees, son David and daughter Mary. |
