. . . Reverend ? Williams aforementioned who died ye 28th day of June 1801 aged 43 years . . .

His will is at the National Library of Wales. He mentions his daughter Anne, who would still have been single in 1801. . .BR/1801/1

The last will and testament of John Williams of ye parish of Aberedow in the county of Radnor, clerk as follows . . . .
First I give and bequeath to Gwenllian my beloved wife all those two messuages, tenements and lands called and known by ye names of Cae yr Arglwydd and Twyn Shane(?) being lease hold and Court yr Aber being freehold estates situate in ye said parish of Aberedw and county of Radnor, during her natural life if she remains my widow, and I do likewise empower her ye sd Gwenllian my wife to sell or dispose of all ye said messuages as she may think berst and divide ye purchasde money thereof between my children, share and share alike immediately after her decease; but if she ye said Gwenllian my wife should marry a second husband, my will is that she shall have but her therein(?) my freehold estate during her natural life and do ? give ? Gwenllian my wife all my live stock, implements of husbandry and household during her natural life and after her decease to my children share ans share alike, but if she marry again my will is that all my personal estate shall be divided immediately at her coverture between my children share and share alike . . . .
I give and bequeath to William my eldest son after ye decease of my wife one clock, part of my furnture and also will that all my brewing utensils shall be equally divided between my two sons Wm and John after ye deceases of Gwen my wife if she remains a widow, but if she marry then to be divided between my sons at her coverture. . . .
And I will that all ye residue of my household furniture shall be equallyu divided between my three daughters Anne, Mary and Margaret immediately after my wife's decease or at her marriage to a second husband and I do constitute and appoint ye Rev John Powell of ye parish of Llandeilo Graban in y county of Radnor aforesd. and Wm Williams of y parish of Trallong(?) in ye county of Brecon farmer, who is my brother, to be trustees to this my will and I do nominate and appoint ye ds Gwenllian my wife to be sole executrix to this my will as witness my hand and seal this 12th day of Febuy 1800
