| In the 1779 baptism register entry for his grandson Thomas, Thomas was described as being a weaver, But in 1747, when his daughter Jane was buried, he was described as being an innkeeper
In the marriage register, his name is given as John (or Jno), but (according to Jack Southworth) Boyd shows it clearly as Thomas.
The witnesses to his second marriage (when Thomas was described as being a widower of Blackburn parish) were Thomas Valentine and William Whittle
In his burial record, Thomas's surname is incorrecxtly written as "Southward" |
