| | There were two possible Edgar Charles Morgan one born in Chepstow in 1859 and the other in Abergavenny in the second quarter of 1857. I believe that Sybil married the younger one, because I am sure that Sybil was widowed when Howard used to visit her in the 1920's. I believe that the younger Egar did not die in Abergavenny until the second quarter of 1931 (11a 53). I think that Sybil was widowed in the third quarter of 1919. |

| Sarah Ann Morgan was granted probate in 1897 to the will of Henry Jones Cadogan - where she was described as being the wife of Edgar Charles Morgan, presumably the one who would later marry Sybil Jones Cadogan, Henry's neice and the son of his brother Charles John Cadogan. She died in Abergavenny in the 4th quarter of 1909, aged 56, implying that she was born in 1852 or 1853. No birth record can be found in these years in Abergavenny, the nearest being in 1855. If she really was 56 when she died, she could have been born elsewhere. It is possible that she was the sister of Henry Jones Cadogan's wife, Mary Ann James, but there is quite a large age difference. |
