Will of Isabel Parkin:
In the name of god Amen the one and twentyeth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred seventy eight I, Isabell Parkin of Mortomley lane end in the parish of Ecclesfield in the diocese of York widdow being Aged & weake in Body butt in perfect memory praised bee god doo make & ordaine this my last will and testament in manor & forme following first & principally I comend my soul into the hands of Allmighty god my Creator assuredly trusting that in and through the merit(?) & mediation of Jesus Christ his only sonn & my alone saviour hee will pardon all my sinns & ? my soul into his protection And my Body I commit unto the Earth from whence it came the same to be decently Buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named: my will is that all my lawfull debt bee paid my ffunerall expenses mortuary probation of my will & all such like charged bee paid & discharged out of my whole goodbrit(?). I give unto my sonne Thomas Parkin one greene Rugg(?) & twelve pence of money in full satisfaction of all demands it. I give unto Robert Cooke my sonne in lawe twelve pence of money in full of all demands it. I give unto Margarett now wife of John Jollie the sum of twelve pence in full of all demands it. I give and bequethe unto Mary daughter of my late sonne Zacharia Parkin the sum of tenn pound to bee paid to here when she shall attain & come to her full age of one and twenty years or else bee marryed it my will is that Samuel the sonne of the aforesaid Zacharia shall have the tenament att his age of one and twenty years or else when hee shall bee marryed; or so(?) much of it at my overseer's hereafter named shall think necessary together with other friends(?) equally chosen betwixt the Mother & here sonne for the regulatoring(?) of the said teament according to their generall occasions: all the remainder of my goods & Chattels I unbequethe (?) & I give and bequeth unto Elizabeth Parkin my daughter in Lawe allso the ? of the benefit of the tenament whereon I now live for maintanance of herselfe & her two children during their minority: And I hereby ordain & make the said Elizabeth Parkin sole executrix of this my last will & testament: And I define & appoint George Smith of high greene & Edward otley of Hoiland overseers over this my will & executrix I hereby revoke all former will I ? ? & bequests whatsoever by me at any time named will & bequethed witness my hand & seal for the above written
