| Anne was a spinster when she married bachelor Evan Lloyd in 1814
She presumably must have died before 1833 because that was when Evan is thought to have remarried
It is quite possible that rather than being the daughter of James and Elizabeth Morris, baptised in January 1789, Anne may have been daughter of Thomas Morris (labourer) and Anne of Banhadla Uchaf, who was baptised 10 months earlier on 23rd March 1788. I am beginning to favour these parents because Evan and Anne Lloyd did not name a son James, but their second son was named Thomas.
Only by finding her death record is it going to be possible to resolve this, and perhaps not even then as the two baptisms were close together in time. There was no burial record for an Anne Morris in Llanrhaiadr ym Mochnant between 1788 and 1812, so both Annes may have still been living by then.
FMP reports an Ann Lloyd who died in Montgomery in 1833, but this was not her as her age did not match. |

| James was a saddler from Llanrhaiader ym Mochnant
He was aged 87 at time of his death in 1841, so he must have been born around 1753/1754
In his burial record, he is described as having been a "psalm singer"
His wife was called Elizabeth, according to Anne's baptism record.
HOWEVER it is not known for certain that these were "my" Anne's parents, as there was another Anne Morris baptised in 1788, the daughter of Thomas and Ann Morris. |
