| | The IGI lists what appear to have been 2 sets of twins called Sarah and Annie Robson, daughters of William and Mary Robson, one pair baptised on 24th November 1870 and the other pair baptised on 27th August 1871. The first pair were 4 months old at the time of the 1871 census, which is consistent with their having been born at the end of the previous year. A Sarah and an Annie Robson are recorded as having died aged zero during the 4th quarter of 1871. One tentative conclusion is that they were christened again just before death, rather than there actually having been 2 sets of twins, as there is no record of another pair of deaths. These dates are less than a year apart. |
