| As part of the Chipchase Castle estate, Park House has been handy for nearly 200 years as a lodge for valued estate employees and their families. The Tynedale map of 1856 shows Park House with Threepit (later Threepwood) Hill to the north and to the west, Parkhouse Wood, with another little copse just further west going by the quaint name of Barebreeches Wood. |
