| Epitaph reads: A pale consumption gave the fatal blow The stroke was certain but the effect was slow With lingering pain death saw the sore oppressed Pitied her size and kindly gave her rest.

| Here freed from all the anxious cares of life, Now rest in peace a husband and a wife. In harmless innocence life's course they trod; Virtue their practice all their hopes in God. Meek in their minds, submissive to his will, His constant aim his precepts to fulfill, They left behind a pure unsullied name, Then, Vender, learn and go and do the same.
The above was the epitaph to her and her husband Nathan Aged 80 at time of death so must have been born about 1735.
Urlan Wannop says that she was born at Whitehill in 1735
Possibly, she was the daughter of John Hetherington, who died at Whitehill in 1770, according to Urlan Wannop |
