It was possibly (but rather unlikely perhaps) this was Agnes Parkin, widow, whose will was dated 8th April 1616. Another possibility was that she was buried at Ecclesfield on 25th May 1577. |

| | It is not known (but it is highly likely) that there is a connection between the Doughtymans of Thurgoland and those of Ecclesfield. I have the will of William D of Thurgoland (dated 1633) and Grace D of Wortley. The latter had a sister Bridget who married a Mr Nevison. The former had a brother Thomas, a wife Margaret and a son William. |
